31 Jan Returning home to Utah after war
After spending seven years on the dangerous frontlines in Iraq and Afghanistan for the U.S. State Dept, Kael Weston returned home to ask: how will these wars be remembered? In his book, The Mirror Test, in addition to the wars, he wrote about traveling the U.S. to visit veterans and families.
In this Utah Public Radio interview from 2016, Kael discusses “a mirror test for our nation in its global role.” He brings this story of war home to Utah when he talks about his great-uncle who is buried in Pinto, Utah, near Cedar City, a World War II veteran who had a difficult time returning home after war.
